Q1: What is Buydong?
A: “Buydong ” (a.k.a. Buydong) is a brand new global online shopping platform which represents Hong Kong brands. It is created by Transin, a fintech company.
Since the local demand of Hong Kong produced goods or Hong Kong brands are rising to a new height, we believe Hong Kong brands can expand overseas, hitting the global market and making waves of impact. Through this platform, you can find high quality local Hong Kong products offered by our most esteemed partners.
Q2: What kind of products are available on Buydong?
A: We source high quality products, experience and services which are locally produced in Hong Kong, or managed by Hong Kong brands. You can consider us an “Amazon” specifically for Hong Kong sellers. You can find the categories on the top of the page, or search for a specific product via the search bar.
Q3: How do I purchase products on Buydong?
A: To purchase products, you must become a Buydong member. You will receive BD points which is equivalent to 5-10% cashback each time you purchase. Shop more, gain more!
Q4: How do I further inquire into a product?
A: On each product page, there is a detailed description of the product written by the seller. However, if you require more information, you can always click on “message” on the product page and ask any questions you have to the merchant directly.
Q5: How does Buydong ensure product quality?
A: We communicate with our partners, as well as constant evaluation of our partnership, if their products are not up to par, we withhold the right to discontinue their business on this platform.
Q6: Does Buydong/Buydong stores accept non-HK currency?
A: Yes. Buydong accepts any kind of currency. The currency conversion rate depends on your local bank account. Keep in mind that your local bank may add a service charge for all currency conversion purchases.
Q7: What are Buydong accepted payment methods?
A: Buydong accepts Visa, Mastercard, AE (American Express), Paypal, and WeChat pay.
Q8: Is there overseas shipping? Do I have to pay for shipping?
A: Yes, there is overseas shipping depending on which product you are ordering. You can find out where the product can be shipped via looking at the product description page.
Q9: Can I cancel my order when the item hasn’t been delivered?
A: Yes, it is possible for you to cancel your order by pressing the “cancel order” button on your order page. No extra fees will be charged if the item hasn’t been delivered and a full refund, including payment for shipping, will be made in the form of BD Points.
Q10. What do I do if my product is missing/defective/wrong?
A: You can ask for a refund/return/exchange with your merchant, depending on the context of your problem. Furthermore, if the product hasn’t arrived yet, you can cancel your order, free of charge.
Q11. What is the policy for Refunding/Returning/Exchanging items?
A: Before the order arrives, you can cancel the order with no charge and you will not be charged any fees. Furthermore, you can refund/return/exchange your product within seven days of you receiving your delivery.
If you’re looking for a refund, the product must be non-defective/missing, and if successfully returned, the merchant will fully refund the amount of money spent on the product in the form of BD points, equivalent to the amount you spent.
If you’re looking to return your product due to damage, please first send proof (A photo of said damage product) through the “inbox function”. After it has been approved, and you have successfully returned the product, the merchant will send you a non-defective version of the product with no extra charge.
If you’re looking to exchange your product for a different colour/size/tastes or other varying attributes, and the product you sent to the merchant is intact, the merchant will send you the product with said requested attributes.
Please be noted that costs borne by you (for example: shipping fees, taxes, e.t.c) may not be paid by the merchant during the process of refunding/returning/exchanging a product. You will need to discuss with the merchant of said product and abide by their refund/return/exchange policy. However Buydong has the final say.
